Sadly, St James' Church is in dire need of a new floor ...



The photos . . .

These images were taken on what had been an exceptionally rainy Remembrance Sunday morning. To say it rained is an understatement. Stair-rods is the expression that comes to mind.

In No3, from the church steps, it is just possible to see the cross of the War Memorial in the thicket of trees and bushes of the memorial garden. For people that have never been to Sutton, it may help to 'fix' things, geographically speaking.

As I came back to the church, some Christening's were under way. The last picture shows some of one Christening party just leaving the south porch. And then the sun came out. Remembrance one minute, christening new life the next.
