JUDITH'S 1st MESSAGE : . . . I have just discovered that my great, great aunt Jemima Ann MAXWELL, married Thomas ABRAM, and in 1881 lived on a 870 acre farm in Wawne. They had a son called George. Any chance there are any relatives still around ?

JUDITH'S 2nd MESSAGE : via Email : Thank you so much for the information about the ABRAM family, I will look them up on the 1901 census. My mother's family is from Beverley, where my late Great Aunt was very involved with life at St.Mary's. My grandfather was a corn merchant in Leven, and I have only recently begun working on the family tree. I will probably be in England this summer, so maybe you could tell me where the church is with the Abram graves. On the 1881 census they lived at Garth Grange, does it still exist? Thanks again for your reply, Judith Burrows.

Our reply: We have sent Judith some basic info, history of Wawne and its relationship to Sutton. Also details of two Abram graves in Sutton churchyard. Does anyone have any info on the 870-acre Garth Grange Farm ?

I have just come across your site which is very informative. I am interested in All Saints, Margaret Street, Hull where my great grandparents were married. I believe it is now demolished.

Anybody have any info on All Saints for Jennifer ?

WE'VE HAD A REQUEST from a Sharon HORNBY, in New Zealand. She's looking for any Hull relatives of her children, Brooke Olivia 15, and Andrew Garry 12, for them to write to. Sadly, since a family separation, the children do not see or hear from any of their Hornby kinfolk, including the family of Tom & Maria Smith, from Hull. Victor Hornby and Tom Smith, the children's grandfathers, were Hull fishermen, and they'd like to know something of their heritage, both family and social. Can anyone help ....?
